It’s Tuesday again which means we will be recommending a book again. Today, we would like to share Ken Blanchard and Spencer Johnson’s best-selling self help book entitled The One Minute Manager.
Just like Johnson’s Who Moved My Cheese, The One Minute Manager also teaches lessons to its readers through a narrative, especially an allegory. It recounts three techniques of an effective manager: “one-minute goals, one-minute praisings and one-minute reprimands (Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_One_Minute_Manager).”
Though the strategies mentioned in the book do not really last for just a minute when executed, it still shows that being a manager is not actually as difficult as we think it is. Improving yourself is also not complicated if we value other people’s constructive criticisms. The book is an easy read because it’s very brief and concise but the contents are very relevant. Everyone, if you have time, check out this book. We have a PDF copy linked here. Enjoy!
